Total Prep Time:
5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Chopped, Mixed Greens (e.g., kale, spinach, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, mizuna, Swiss chard, lettuce)

  • 1/4 cup Water

  • 1/3 cup Chopped Carrots

  • 1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries

  • 1/2 cup Cucumber, coarsely chopped and unpeeled

  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

  • 4 Ice Cubes

Instructions:

  1. Blend Greens: Place the mixed greens and water in a blender. Start on a low setting, gradually increasing to medium speed, until the greens are completely smooth.

  2. Add Remaining Ingredients: Incorporate the chopped carrots, frozen blueberries, cucumber, almond milk, and ice cubes. Blend on medium to high speed until you reach your desired consistency.

  3. Serve Fresh: Pour the smoothie into glasses and enjoy immediately for a refreshing, nutrient-packed beverage.

Coach's Tips:

  • Texture Tweak: Adjust the smoothie's texture by varying the number of ice cubes. More ice results in a thicker consistency.

  • Milk Alternatives: Almond milk can be substituted with oat, soy, or low-fat milk to suit your preference.

  • Flavor Boosters: Enhance the taste by adding a teaspoon of honey, maple syrup, or a pinch of cinnamon.

  • Protein Power: For an added protein boost, mix in a scoop of your favorite protein powder or Greek yogurt.

  • Fruit Variety: Feel free to swap blueberries with other berries like strawberries or raspberries for a different flavor profile.

  • Greens Galore: Experiment with different greens to find your favorite blend. Each type offers unique health benefits and flavors.
